Choir Notes
Florence United Methodist Church includes choir presentations at the 10:00 a.m. service, from September through Pentecost Sunday in June. Currently, the FUMC Choir has 12 members covering all four parts, SATB. Choir anthems are usually contemporary, but cover a wide variety of style, from gospel to a cappella classics. The Choir provides special music for Advent and Holy Week, including a Christmas Cantata presented at the Christmas Eve Service.
Anyone is welcome to join the choir, whether an experienced singer/sight-reader or just the desire to serve in song. Rehearsals begin the first Thursday of September, and are from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. We rehearse every Thursday evening in the Sanctuary. For further information, call Laura at 541-902-8567.
